No need for the old cd player anymore. All my music is on my phone and that connects with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. SD card slot built-in as well. There is an app available that may prove to be useful or necessary but to be frank I'm still figuring out all the features built directly into the unit. I have dash & rear cameras that are supposed to connect wirelessly as well but I haven't even tried to make that work yet. The controls are quick and responsive making this feel like finding the best budget smartphone for a great price. I'll give an update if anything major develops good or bad but I'm already so, so glad I found this little gem buried deep behind other less worthy offerings.
